Founded in 1868, MSPCA Angell is the second-oldest humane society in the United States. Their full name is the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
They’re more than just a veterinary practice. MSPCA Angell are heavily involved in helping animals in need of homes, saving animals in need, and more.
I really like their mission statement, which reads:
The mission of the MSPCA-Angell is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society.
They have loads of helpful resources on their site. More importantly, they have three board-certified avian specialists specializing in avian care; Dr. Simone-Freilicher, Dr. Noonan, and Dr. Sullivan.

Back Bay Veterinary Clinic is an AAHA accredited veterinary practice located in Boston, MA. AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association, the only existing accrediting organization for small animal practices in the United States and Canada.
Only a small percentage of vets are accredited by the AAHA. It demonstrates Back Bay’s dedication to maintaining high standards, so I’m always happy to see practices proudly displaying this badge.
They also offer some dedicated avian and exotic care services. From birds to rabbits, ferrets, reptiles, and other small animals. Whatever species or breed of bird you have, I’m sure they’ll be happy to hear from you.

Located around 15 miles outside of Boston, All Creatures Veterinary Hospital is an award-winning AAHA accredited veterinary practice offering some specialist avian services.
They have some great information and resources on their website about keeping birds. I recommend checking that out if you’re a new owner.
You can download their app to keep updated and be notified or reminded of appointments and refills. I really like how they have some modern digital tools like this, it’s something I look for when choosing a vet.
