The Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care Center in Portland has some of the most dedicated and specialized avian services I’ve seen.
They go into detail about what they look for when carrying out wellness checkups, how to care for your birds, and what they can do for you.
If you have a bird, this is the place to go to if it’s close enough. I’m totally impressed with their dedication to avian and exotic animals.
They write their philosophy as:
At Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care, we are committed to providing advanced veterinary care that is personalized to meet the unique needs of each of our exotic patients.

Established in 1984, according to The Avian Medical Center they are the only veterinary clinic catering exclusively to birds in Oregon.
They’re just a short drive from downtown Portland. Their staff specialize in birds, so you know your pet will be in safe hands if you take them here.
Whether you have chickens, ducks, and other birds, or smaller exotic or companion birds, you can be sure the Dr at The Avian medical Center has the experience to put you at ease.

You may know the VCA name, they have a number of hospitals across the country. They are AAHA accredited, and in my experience always have very professional staff and procedures.
They don’t go into detail about the exact types and species of pets they treat at their North Portland location. I’d give them a call before booking an appointment or heading over.
Their mission statement reads as:
Our staff believes in the importance of the relationship between you and your pet. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality medicine in a compassionate and caring way. We invite you to join us as an integral member of your pet's health care team.

The Pet Samaritan Clinic started out as the “only hospital in Portland specializing in Dog Practice.” Today, however, they see a much wider range of pets.
When Dr. Patricia Huff joined, she was one of the only exotic specialists in the area. The practice has since moved to a new location, and continued with their progressive approach to animal medicine.
What I like about Pet Samaritan Clinic is how important it is that every pet’s visit is as stress-free as possible.
They go as far as to say:
Our staff has special fear/stress free training with Board Certified Animal Behaviorist Dr. Jacqueline Neilson to ensure that we cater to the needs of each pet who walks through our door.

Dr. Katrina Ramsell is the resident exotic and avian vet working at Northwest Exotic Pet Vet. She holds memberships with a range of professional bodies, I’d be more than happy to take my birds to see her.
On their side, they say:
Northwest Exotic Pet Vet, LLC is a full service exotic pet practice. We offer personalized, high quality, compassionate care exclusively for ferrets, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, sugar gliders, and other exotic pets.
