Collins Hospital for animals has been serving the people (and animals) of the District of Columbia since 1917.
Obviously, the practice has changed hands since then, and is currently being operated by Dr. Lynne Cabaniss and her associate Dr. Jay Merker.
Collins Hospital is a “full service small animal and exotic veterinary practice.” Whatever pet you have, whether it’s a bird or an exotic animal, Collins Hospital will be able to help.

VCA has a number of locations across the country. Their Old Town location is around 6 miles from D.C.
They offer a complete pet experience, from veterinary care, to grooming and boarding. They also cater to a wide range of pets and animals, so whatever pet you have I’d give them a call and see what they advise.
